Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day spent with friends and family.  We hope that all of you had a fantastic holiday and were able to connect and enjoy your loved ones.

We let the kids open a couple of gifts on Christmas Eve.

The first meltdown.

Ripping and tearing on Christmas morning.  Nice bike helmet, huh?  I'm not sure if I'll let him wear that one out in the neighborhood.

Aunt Candy and Uncle Wells came over in the afternoon.

Christmas tree 2011

We didn't go to Antelope Creek Ranch this year for Thanksgiving.  We stayed at home and didn't go out into the woods to get our tree.  We went to a local u-cut place owned by one of my old jr. high p.e. teachers (Larry Ryerson).  It was quick and painless, as every tree looked alike.

Somehow, every ornament that the kids put on the tree ended up one foot from the floor.

This is how it looked after we were done.

Terry at Autzen

This is my brother Terry.  He went to the Oregon-USC game with me over the weekend.  He hadn't been to a game with me in several years.  We had a great time.  USC pulled off an upset over my Ducks 38-35, but it was just nice spending time with Terry.  LeBron, DWade, CP3, Aaron Brooks and other NBA stars showed up to the game, as well as our beloved former Ducks: Dennis Dixon, Akili Smith, Rueben Droughns, Derek Loville, and Jeff Maehl.

Matt Barkley and USC with the ball.

This is the aftermath of trying to tackle Kenjon Barner.

Colt's 4th Birthday

Colton's fourth birthday was a Ben Ten party.  We didn't know who Ben Ten was until about six months, but Brandy and I have been well educated since.

Colt with his cake.

Papa and Colt.

Pulled Pork for the party.  Twenty-six hours of smoking yielded this delicious, moist piece of meat.

Halloween 2011

Halloween started out with everybody in their Bat Gear.  Brandy kept her Bat Girl suit, but Colton switched to Ben Ten and Austin became a monkey.  We went trick or treating with our neighbors, the Wilkersons.  Our subdivision is a very popular place on Halloween.  Car loads of people flock to our neighborhood.  It is great seeing all of the little kids dressed up.

Here's our little monkey.  He was the best trick or treater out of our two.  He wanted to go up to each house and would not let Brandy or I ccarry his bag.  If only we could get Colt to follow Austins lead.

Trevor Wilkerson as Batman and Colt as Ben Ten.

He wouldn't ride in the stroller.  It was great.  He wanted to do everything himself.

Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Carving

We went to a local farm for their harvest festival this weekend.  Colton was launching rubber chickens at a bucket in this picture.

The kids climbed up a hill made of straw bales.

Brandy and Austin waiting for Colt and I to make our way through the corn maze.

Out in the field looking for pumpkins.

North Dakota 2004-2005

We started flying out to North Dakota in 2004.  We have a great group of guys that make this journey to shoot pheasants, play cards, and tell stories.  Thank you to all that have made this trip such a wonderful experience.  The birds in this picture are a metal sculpture, located on The Enchanted Highway between Dickinson and Regent.

The Double JJ Outfitter lodge is our home away from home.

Pushing the birds.

Searching for a downed bird at Indian Creek.

Pat lined up to take the shot.

Taking shelter from the wind and waiting for Rudd to apologize for peppering the guide.

Pat and I.  Just a couple of wide-eyed kids at that point.

On the cold, windy days it is nice to find a wind break.

Relaxing at an abandoned farm after another great shoot.

Get that bird, Doc!!!!
